"show up" 1971

Recorded in the garage of George Harrison's Friar Park Estate in 1971. Since their visit to New York City in 1968 to promote Apple, the phrase "show up" had been given special meaning to John Lennon and Paul McCartney after a night of drinking with Tonight Show host Johnny Carson and his cohost Ed McMahon.

"Spiritual wisdom means not wasting the gifts of the Universe, even if it's the three of them."

— George Harrison in Rockstar, "Angry Young Men," 1972
